A news article called “Great Firewall of China” by Ben Elgin and Bruce Einhorn was written a little over two months ago talking about the firewall that China currently has. Skype wanted to enter China and talk with clients. They were told that in order to do so that they needed to filter certain words that might be offensive to the Beijing government. Phrases such as “Falun Gong” and “Dalai Lama” are filtered over their Skype sessions. Skype knew that there was no budging the Chinese Government so they gave in
